How Can I Help?

There are a number of ways in which you can help our troops.
WRITE A CARD OR NOTE: These will be included in a care package. Knowing someone in the community cares is a great gift to receive.

GOODS DONATIONS: Caring For Troops is always looking for donations of quality of life items to include in care packages for our military who are deployed/stationed at a "hardship" duty locations.

VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME: Caring For Troops is looking for volunteers to pack and address care packages monthly.  For more information, please contact us or click on the home tab for upcoming event dates.

Additional help is needed to work booths at community events and coordinate/plan events. Your ideas and suggestions are welcome.

DONATE SERVICES: For families of service members currently deployed (oil changes, lawn mowing, firewood, repair projects, or other services)

MONEY DONATIONS: Money donations are welcomed to cover mailing expenses and other troop support related costs. To donate money, please make checks payable to Caring For Troops. You can mail your donations to: Caring For Troops, 60749 River Bend Drive,

Quality of Life Items

The following quality of life items are needed on a continuing basis to bring a touch of home to those far away.

Priority Items:

1. Jerky
2. DVD's
3. Batteries
4. CD's
5. Crystal Lite and other powder drinks
6. Socks, any color
7. T-Shirts
8. Deodorant
9. Razors & Shaving Cream
10. Protein Bars

Non-Perishable Food Items:

Individually wrapped pieces of hard candy (Twizzlers, Tootsie Rolls and Tootsie Roll Pops; Bubble Gum;
Skittles; lollipops; Life Savers; Candy Sticks; Sweet Tarts; etc).

2. Peanuts, pretzels and other snack foods
3. Sweetened Kool-Aid, Gatorade, and other sweetened drink mixes
4. Coffee, sugar, creamer, tea bags, hot chocolate, hot cider
5. Jerky (no pork in contents)

7. Seasonings: Onion Salt, Garlic Salt, pepper, oregano, etc.
8. Chewing Gum
9. Potato chips (in the can, not sacks)
